Vanilla and amber scents, spicy shades or balsamic notes are all ingredients that invite seduction. Chypre perfumes intrigue as much as they fascinate with their almost erotic freshness. Bewitching white flowers such as tuberose or ylang-ylang embody the femme fatale, while gourmand notes make you salivate.
1. Coco By Chanel: The Queen of Spicy Perfumes
Coco, one of the most elegant spicy scents of all time, is unique and sophisticated. Cloves and cardamom are balanced by delicate floral notes of orange blossom and mimosa, creating a classic fragrance with a mix of feminine allure and dark intrigue.

What We Love
This scent wears differently — and beautifully — depending on your body chemistry.
What We Don't Love
This scent is really popular: If you prefer a distinctive signature scent, you may be dissatisfied with how many people have recently added this to their fragrance collection.
If you've ever looked through TikTok, you've probably seen this popular scent from fragrance brand Maison Francis Kurkdijan. However, just because Baccarat Rouge 540 has gained popularity on social media does not imply it is suitable for everyone. This ever-changing perfume is sultry and seductive, but also spicy and woodsy, and it's perfect for folks who don't mind standing out.
Skin enhances the notes of cedar, (fake) ambergris, and saffron for a sweet-smoky-salty genderless fragrance — yet when we've smelled it on others, it comes off creamy, musky, and even a little unpleasant.

What We Love
This isn’t a “conceptual” take on ginger ale — it smells just like the real thing.
What We Don't Love
We have had bottles break in the past.
This Ale Pick-Me-Up Cologne Spray has been a favorite of ours since it originally debuted in the early 2000s, alongside other fun and quirky smells from the company, such as Dirt, Gin and Tonic, and Tomato. It perfectly captures the real aroma of a freshly cracked can of ginger ale, right down to the prickly bubbles. It's an airy, well-balanced blend of sweet, spicy, and fresh, making it quite wearable — so spritz it liberally in any season.
However, while we like the rectangle container (it works well for packing numerous Demeter perfumes into small vanity spaces), it may not be the most durable. We have smashed a bottle.

What We Love
Fresh, green, and vibrant, this is one of the rare spicy scents that can be worn all year round, even in very hot weather.
What We Don't Love
If you're looking for something distinctly feminine, this isn't it - it's obviously a genderless fragrance.
SpicyDS & Durga Bistro Waters Eau de Parfum was inspired by one of the founders' time working in New York City restaurants, which explains the herbaceous notes that are slightly sweetened with lime blossom water, pear, and mandarin. The surprising note of bell pepper takes the scent right up to the edge of aquatic (another of our favourite fragrance categories), making it suitable for all seasons, including oppressively hot and humid summers.
However, if you are searching for something excessively feminine, this is not the perfume. It smells more like cologne, but one that is genderless. That's certainly not a terrible thing! The scent is deep.

What We Love
Spicy Chanel COCO Eau de Parfum is one of the fragrance house's most recognizable perfumes, encased in the trademark flacon, which has been mimicked but never duplicated.
What We Don't Love
Be warned that many Chanel Coco flanker scents lack the original's spicy undertones yet are more widely available.
This famous perfume exudes sophistication and elegance. It was created in 1984 and exudes vintage beauty while remaining classic. If we had to guess, the vitality comes from the dense base notes of resin, amber, tonka, and patchouli. Coriander and clove add spiciness to the dish, which is sweetened with rose, orange flower, and mandarin.

What We Love
This clean brand’s philosophy is rooted in the concept that scents and moods are intertwined; Burn For You smells like pure comfort (and who doesn’t want to feel cosy every day?).
What We Don’t Love
Currently, 5 Sens is only available online, so you’ll need to order fragrances from the website if you want to test them for yourself.
The 5 Sens collection presently includes five scents, and while we're thrilled with all of the new brand's offerings, Burn For You is the fiery perfume that truly captured us. It opens with a blend of very spicy clove leaves and woodsy cedar notes that conjure autumnal sensations. The dry down, however, is what makes this smell a daily favourite. Sweet vanilla and warm touches of amber and cashmere musk combine to produce a true "skin scent" that feels familiar, intimate, and indispensable, much like your softest, most well-loved sweater.
Unfortunately, 5 Sens smells are only available online for now, so you won't be able to sniff before purchase, but you don't have to invest in a full-sized bottle until you're ready—the brand provides travel-friendly bottles,

What We Love
The deep red glass bottle and metallic silver cap hint at the sexy scent inside while making for a stunning vanity accessory — and the bottle is also refillable.
What We Don’t Love
This is the type of fragrance you’ll want to tuck in your purse for sneaky mid-date touch-ups for added allure, but unfortunately, it’s not available in a travel-friendly size.
Leave it to lingerie company La Perla to create one of the most seductive perfumes available. The distinctive deep red glass container will initially pique your interest, but it is the sensuous perfume inside that will make this fragrance truly memorable.
The sharpness of spices like pink pepper, black pepper, and cardamom is boosted by a plethora of citrus fruits in the perfume's top notes, which gradually melt into sensual tuberose, sweet rose and geranium, creamy caramel, and spicy cinnamon. All of this is grounded by vanilla-like tonka and a sensuous, almost chocolatey patchouli, which fades into a scent that smells like the olfactory equivalent of a filmy charmeuse slip.
We recommend saving this one for a very special evening—but if you're one for mid-date touchups,

8. Best Cinnamon-Forward Chemistry Milk Wasted Eau de Parfum
View On Kheimistrii.com
What We Love
This indie hand-blended fragrance is a slightly spicy, ultra-yummy scent we love wearing all year.
What We Don’t Love
Because it’s from an indie brand, it’s made in small batches (so it might not always be available).
We found this brand on Etsy on a late-night perfume shopping spree and are so pleased we did; we liked everything we've tried from Kheimistrii, including the extremely different and quite tasty Milk Wasted.
Cinnamon-Forward Chemistry Milk Wasted Eau de Parfum is lactonic milky and fits the genre well. Cinnamon sugar floats on fresh milk and vanilla cream, with a base of ambery labdanum resin and spicy-nutty tonka. It's nostalgic and warm, and we enjoy wearing it on lazy Sundays spent reading.
While the creative nose behind Kheimistrii appears to be adept at stock management, bear in mind that she mixes each bottle herself, so be patient if she's temporarily sold out – her smells are well worth the wait.

9. Best Nutmeg-ForwardJo Malone London Nutmeg and Ginger Cologne

What We Love
Jo Malone scents are known for their simplicity in that they focus on just two or three notes at a time so if you want to smell like nutmeg, that’s exactly what you’ll get with this one.
What We Don’t Love
Part of the brand’s archived collection, this scent is only available online, so you’ll have to commit to purchasing it if you want to smell it.
While nutmeg and ginger are crucial ingredients in pumpkin pie, this scent is anything from sweet. The warmth and dryness of these spices create a spray that smells fresh and clean and can be worn by anyone, at any time. However, the real magic occurs when you blend it with various fragrances. To fully appreciate the versatility of this perfume, try pairing it with a sharp citrus or a rich vanilla.
One disadvantage of this perfume is that it is only available online, so you won't be able to try it before purchasing; nonetheless, it is so unique and versatile that we're confident you'll enjoy it from the time it arrives at your door.

What We Love
The blend of notes is highly unusual yet beautifully balanced, resulting in a scent unlike any you’ve tried before.
What We Don’t Love
The piney notes of Travel Spray Ellis Brooklyn APRÈS Eau de Parfum fragrance kind of pigeonhole it to winter wear, but again, they’re part of what makes the scent unique.
When we're in the thick of winter, this transportive spritz reminds us of all the lovely qualities of the season while minimizing the less enjoyable ones (being ankle-deep in slushy snow as the temperature drops).
It's properly titled because it's a combination of all the scents you'd smell at a ski resort: Brisk air with the sweet and spicy perfume of evergreen trees, a roaring fire, and a hot and sweet beverage mixed with alcohol. However, as much as we enjoy this distinct perfume, it is very specific, so unless you're visiting a fir forest during the off-season, you won't find yourself searching for it in warmer weather.
Size: 0.33 oz.|Type: Eau de Parfum|Notes: Juniper, Cardamom, Bourbon
