1.Chanel N°5 L’eau
Take the ageless sophistication of Chanel N°5 and add a zesty, fresh twist—and you have Chanel N°5 L'eau. I like to think of it as the cool (but fashionable) younger sister of the original N°5, combining citrus, flowery, and musky notes in a light and airy mixture with lingering echoes of its legendary predecessor. After wearing it, I liked how it was less intense but still stayed put from day to night.
Lemon, mandarin, orange, and neroli are the top notes.
Rose, jasmine, and ylang-ylang are the heart notes.
Base notes: cedar, white musk, and vetiver "It's like the cooler younger sister of the classic," said one customer. My mother always wore No. 5, and this reminds me of her while also feeling like myself."
2.Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum
Maddie Hiatt, a Cosmo social media editor, elected to wear this perfume on her wedding day this year. "I could still smell it at the end of the night!" she said. If you're searching for a flirty, classic flower scent that nonetheless smells classy without being overpowering, Gucci Flora is an excellent choice.
Citrus and peony are the top notes.
Roses and osmanthus are the heart notes.
Bottom notes: Sandalwood and patchouli
Glowing "I received a sample of this perfume as part of one of my online orders and I can't believe how obsessed I am with it." I got non-stop praises going out and out of all my perfumes, and this scent lasted astonishingly long."
3. Creed Carmina Eau de Parfum
If you're seeking for a robust fall/winter perfume, let me introduce you to my newfound infatuation and the newest scent in the Creed fragrance family: Carmina. Mr. Creed and his freshly discovered fashion sketches embellished with pictures of opulent, bold textiles portrayed on old-school It Girls inspired the fragrance.
Black cherry, saffron, and pink pepper are the top notes.
May rose, peony, cashmere wood, and violet are the heart notes.
Myrhh, musk, frankincense, and abroxan are the base notes.
Glowing “When I went to work, everyone had to know what I was doing."
4. Atelier Cologne Clémentine California Pure Perfume
Clémentine California is a perfume that will remind you of how it feels to be lounging on the California shore, inhaling in the breezy, invigorating air. Hannah Oh, Cosmo's associate shopping editor, believes this is one of her favorite scents. "I sprayed it on the coat that I wore to my first New York Fashion Week ever, and it literally lingered for weeks," she said.
Clementine, orange, and juniper berries are the top notes.
Basilic, pepper, and star anise are the heart notes.
Base notes: Sandalwood, cypress, Haitian vetiver Glowing Customer Review: "This is my all-time favorite fragrance." It's light and sophisticated (rather than straight-up citrus), but not overpowering or headache-inducing."
5. Kilian Paris Love, Don't Be Shy
Fun fact: Rihanna famously wore this scent before creating her own perfume, and I believe we can all agree that if it's good enough for the queen of cool herself (and the million and one celebs who claim she smells like "heaven"), it's surely a really decent candidate. Add a little spiciness to the flirty and playful notes of its delightful sweet notes.
Neroli, pink pepper, and coriander are the top notes.
Iris, jasmine, rose, honeysuckle, and orange blossom are the heart notes.
Musk, vanilla, civet, caramel, and sugar are the base notes.
Glowing "Very nice scent," says one customer. The description says it's floral, but it smells more like a warm vanilla cupcake to me. "I sprayed one small amount on my wrist and it lasted the entire workday."
6. Solinotes Paris Rose Perfume for Women
Using high-quality components is one of the most essential variables in a perfume's lifespan, yet high-quality ingredients are pricey, so you can normally expect to spend a fair buck. That's what I thought until my friend, who has been wearing it since college, introduced me to this drugstore (yes, pharmacy) perfume. It truly has a fresh aroma that will stay all day. The perfume has a mild rose scent, but don't worry, it won't make you feel like your grandmother (nothing against grandmothers, by the way). Oh, and I'm well aware that the package has a youthful vibe to it, but this is a trust-the-process decision.
Bergamot and lychee are the top notes.
Rose and magnolia are the heart tones.
Base notes: gleaming cedarwood Customer
Feedback: “I picked up a tiny bottle of this on a whim when shopping at a nearby store. I was smitten. It's light and floral without being overbearing. It has a fresh, clean aroma that is appropriate for all seasons.
7.Malin+Goetz Dark Rum Perfume Oil
It really lasts all day," says Cosmo executive producer Abbey Adkison of this perfume oil. The fragrance profile includes hints of leather and amber, as well as a faint sweetness brought on by rum, but how would I describe it? Assume you're at a hidden speakeasy, with dim red lighting illuminating the area. The atmosphere is inviting, enticing, and just the perfect bit of playful.
Bergamot and plum are the top notes.
Rum and leather are the heart tones.
Amber, patchouli, and milk are the base notes.
Glowing "This perfume has to be one of the most amazing, sensual fragrances I have ever smelled." Nothing else compares to it. There are certainly rum overtones, and it's a little vanilla-y, but that's mainly due to the rum. "I wholeheartedly recommend this fragrance."
8. Juliette Has a Gun Not A Perfume
Juliette Has a Gun's fragrance represents rebellion in all of its manifestations. Aside from the obvious name, it challenges every notion of perfume by crafting the entire fragrance with a single note—cetalox, a popular base note that smells of mild wood and amber. The end result? A fragrance tailored to your own scent profile, with a woody, feminine twist.
Note: Cetalox (synthetic ambergris) Customer Review: "When I say I'm fascinated, I mean it. I'm regularly stopped and asked what I'm wearing. I've purchased many travel sizes as well as the large one since I can't get enough of it. It's definitely worth the money."
9. Parfums de Marly Delina Eau de Parfum
Parfums de Marly's Delina is another cult-favorite long-lasting perfume. "It's definitely expensive, but it lingers and I have never gotten more compliments on a fragrance," says Cosmo assistant news editor Sam Olson. It perfectly balances the highly feminine flower tones with the heavier perfume of musk. Don't get me wrong: it's a flowery fragrance, but the addition of woodier elements makes it more mature and elegant.
Bergamot, rhubarb, and lychee are the top notes.
Turkish rose, peony, and vanilla are the heart notes.
Cashmere wood, musk, and vetiver are the base notes.
Glowing "This fragrance is absolutely stunning," says one customer. She exudes joy and flirtation while simultaneously being intellectual. The rhubarb is somewhat sour in the initial spray, but it dries to a lovely semi-creamy texture.
10.Kayali Vanilla 28
"At first, I thought this was just the corporate version of Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath and Body Works, thanks to its warm brown sugar and amber notes," writes Cosmo beauty editor Beth Gillette, who adds that it's considerably more well-rounded and has a wide range. This scent radiates that classic, sweet vanilla profile coupled with a somewhat floral spiciness throughout the day (and into the night!).
Highlights include: Vanilla orchid, jasmine
Notes for the heart: Amber woods, brown sugar
Patchouli, musk, amber, and vanilla are the base notes.
Glowing "This is a luxurious fragrance line that is well worth the money." Since I began using Kayali scents, I've received numerous praises. A must-have for a one-of-a-kind signature perfume."
